YRCI has direct experience in providing the administration and operations of all employee benefits programs available to federal civilian employees. We have benefits experts with comprehensive knowledge of all programs, policies, regulations and laws. When working in the benefits realm, we provide information to employees to help them make informed decisions when selecting, changing, or canceling their benefits coverage. Our specialists are required to ensure that their knowledge is current, especially regarding benefits eligibility, enrollment procedures, options available, conversion or transportability, etc.
YRCI’s specialists also have the ability to handle one-on-one counseling sessions with employees, which is a necessity for exemplary performance in a benefits position. We have federal experience in processing death cases, completing employee separation packages, and providing pertinent benefits information to separating employees. We have also provided benefits assistance to rehired employees along with consultation with reemployed annuitants. Further, we have performed consultations with new hires, as appropriate, and with employees regarding military deposit time and redeposit processing. Computations are a necessary part of all benefits work, and YRCI performs computations in such areas as deposit amount owed for Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) time, offset amount for CSRS-Offset employees, supplemental annuity for FERS for eligible employees, and other computations, as required.
Additionally, YRCI Specialists are skilled in providing full program administration
for workers’ compensation claims. YRIC Specialists are experienced in the tracking
of all incoming, active, and closed workers’ compensation claims; the administration
of temporary disability, permanent disability, and disability compensation payouts;
the compilation of statistics for reporting; and the training of Agency staff involved
in workers’ compensation program administration.
