YRCI’s Shared Service Center (SSC) is comprised of a group of well experienced federal HR professionals supporting government customers from our Fairfax, Virginia office. These professionals specialize in key HR functions, including classification, position management, DEU-trained staffing (manual and all automated systems), employee relations, labor relations, benefits, retirement, policy development, and other areas. We employ full-time, part-time, and on-call HR professionals for our SSC. Some are dedicated to single projects, while others work on multiple projects, both short-and long-term.
The SSC is fast, efficient, and cost-effective for multiple reasons, including:
- Quick Project Start Up—Because we have an existing staff rather than contingent employees, we are ready to immediately work on your requirements.
- Elastic Service Offering—Our flexible workforce is able to match the exact level of effort you need as your requirements grow or shrink.
- Cost Effective Solutions—We employ federal HR professionals at all levels of experience, from HR Assistants to Subject Matter Experts. This means we can divide a task and use cost appropriate labor categories/levels to perform each part of a task. The end result to you is a labor mix that is less expensive than using a single contractor employee for one task.
- Limited to No Use of GFE—Space and equipment are at a premium in federal offices. As an offsite service, we use our own office space, computers, and phones.
- Extremely Quick Response Times—The unique efficiencies of our SSC combine to produce very quick response times for work requests. We frequently average 2-3 day turnarounds for deliverables such as a recruitment packages and classification actions.
- Teamwork—Our team of classifiers and staffers have years of experience working together smoothly and quickly to expedite requests.
- Longer Working Hours—We are open for business throughout much of the day, as we have employees with flexible schedules working in various time zones.
- Easy, “Anytime” Access—We have key team members with phone and email access at nearly all times.
- Existing Templates and Tools—We can adapt to your process and tools. However, we also have templates and process flows for HR activities that are proven and tested if you do not have a preferred method. We also can use your automated HR tools such as QuickHire or USA Staffing if we are given licenses and network access.
Through our various service offerings, YRCI’s SSC currently supports more than a dozen federal entities and more than 50,000 federal employees.
